The Staff Celebration and Convocation is an opportunity for the SMU community to celebrate the staff at the university. Special recognition is given to those staff members who have been at the university for 25-years +. The newest members of the 25+ club are inducted into this special group of staff members during the ceremony. This is the time when the staff award winners are recognized for their excellence and dedication to their work. The Loretta O’Reilly Hawkins award winner is also recognized by Dr. Turner and the Staff Association. Finally, Dr. Turner will give a short ‘state-of-the-university’ address.
