Observe a Teaching Award Winner - Squirrel Eiserloh In-Person

You're invited to observe Squirrel Eiserloh, recipient of the Provost Teaching Recognition Award, for a session of HGME 6311 – Software Development for Games I.

Software Development for Games I provides a foundation in 2D game programming, including gameplay programming, game engine architecture, data structures, input handling, artificial intelligence, and working with graphics and sound assets. Students develop a 2D C++ game engine and build several games using that engine.

This is a graduate class with approximately 30 students.

During this session, students will learn how to create simple 2D particle effects for explosions, damage, and spaceship thrust, and apply these techniques in a simple 2D space shooter. The class will alternate among whiteboard illustrations, discussion, and live coding to demonstrate the concepts in practice.

The instructor will introduce you and provide context for the session.

Please note that you will receive an Outlook calendar invite with the class location after registering.
