What is Andragogy and Why Does It Matter for Your Teaching? In-Person / Online
Malcolm Knowles argued that adults don't learn like children because adults (including our college students) come with experience, internal motivation, and a need to know why something is relevant right now. This session unpacks Knowles' core assumptions and what they actually mean for how we design and run our courses.
This session will be led by Dr. Eva Oberdoester, a Fall 2026 CTE Faculty Affiliate.
