Observe a Teaching Award Winner with Dr. Liljana Elverskog In-Person

You're invited to observe Dr. Liljana Elverskog, a 2024 Provost’s Teaching Recognition Award Winner, for a session of her Beginning Arabic course. Beginning Arabic I is an introductory course intended for students with little or no knowledge of the language.  It aims to present essential vocabulary and grammar, and to develop the pronunciation, listening, reading, and writing skills necessary for basic communication and comprehension.  Customs and cultural insights are also presented.

There are 0-15 students in this undergraduate-level class. In this session, students will be discussing Nisba adjectives and forming interrogatives in Arabic. Grammar will be briefly introduced and students will be giving examples, asking and answering questions.
