Observe a Teaching Award Winner with Dr. Alida Liberman In-Person
You're invited to observe Dr. Alida Liberman, a 2023 Altshuler Distinguished Teaching Award Winner, for a session of her Contemporary Moral Problems course. Moral problems and ethical dilemmas surround us: in our schools and workplaces, in our homes and families, and in the news and politics. In this course, students begin to reflect on ethical problems in a systematic and thorough way. They learn some tools for helping us do this (ethical theories) and use these to grapple with some important contemporary issues we’re faced with, including global poverty, abortion, animal ethics, climate change, justice, and more.
There are 30-50 students in this undergraduate-level class. In this session, students will be discussing John Rawls, Theory of Justice with a mix of lecture and large and small group student discussion/activities.
If you choose to attend this session, the instructor will introduce you to the class and explain why you are there.
Please note that you will receive an Outlook calendar invite with the class location after registering.
