ZOOM ONLY: The Flipped Classroom 2.0 integrated with Gen AI Online
This talk led by Spring 2024 CTE Affiliate - Dr. Bivin Sadler will explore a particular implementation of the flipped classroom in which the pedagogy focuses on finding and generating questions before each class and then efficiently organizing, answering and extending those questions during class. The 2.0 is the addition of finishing each lesson by having the student repeat the assignment with Gen AI. After the student has completed each assignment without GenAI they have earned the perspective required to identify the abilities and disabilities of gen AI as well as the fact that the user has to know what they are doing in order for the LLM to be a useful tool rather than a dangerous one.
