Reading Scholarship and Research Backwards: A novel approach to modern research challenges and how it translates to the classroom In-Person / Online
Early in any scholar’s or researcher’s career, there is a tendency to move from humility to pride in knowledge. This is especially true in the modern classroom, where polarization often clouds our efforts. In this session, SMU Center for Teaching Excellence's Spring 2024 Faculty Affiliate - Dr. John Potter will discuss a novel approach to bringing balance to understanding these topics by considering idea laundering, word salad, polarization, and other topics by simply reading the published work backward.
Coffee and cookies will be served.
