Just-in-Time Teaching & Technology Grants Showcase

Just-in-Time Teaching & Technology Grants Showcase

In this session, four of the past winners of the Just-in-Time Teaching and Technology Grants will showcase their awards and how they used them in their classrooms. The faculty initiatives showcased are:

  • Aria Cabot, World Languages & Literatures Department, featuring Google Cardboards
  • Kristie Abt, Applied Physiology & Sport Management Department, featuring Health and Fitness Assessments
  • Holly Bowen, Psychology Department, featuring Vision Simulation Glasses
  • Matthew Boulanger, Anthropology Department, featuring 450,000 Years of Archeological Artifacts

The Just-in-Time Teaching and Technology Grants (JiTTT) is partnership between the Center for Teaching Excellence and the Academic Technology Services team. This program will provide small grants (up to $500 each) to faculty from across campus when they need it most — at the start of the semester.

The goal of this grant program is to reduce the barriers for faculty acquiring needed materials or technology for their classrooms. We want to help by providing funding at a critical planning point for the semester. It is our hope that this program will support your efforts to improve SMU's teaching quality.

Cookies and Coffee will be served.
