Make an Appointment -

Use the location dropdown to specify where the appointment will take place. Selecting a different location will reload the appointment dates and times that are available to be booked.

Thank you for your interest in booking an appointment with Rob Pearson, Director of Graduate Career Development and Postdoctoral Affairs. I am available for in-person or virtual appointments, depending upon your preference.

You may begin to book an appointment on this page by choosing a location from the dropdown menu above. In-person appointments take place on the SMU campus in my office (address will be provided in your appointment confirmation). Virtual appointments will take place via Zoom (URL will be provided in your appointment confirmation).

Appointments may cover a range of topics, including:

  • assessing your interests, skills, and values
  • exploring various career paths available
  • preparing job application materials
  • networking and informational interviews
  • navigating graduate school
  • preparing for faculty and/or postdoc positions
  • strategies for successful interviews

On the booking form, please provide as much information about your reason for booking an appointment and what you hope your appointment will achieve. This will help me to prepare to work with you int he most effective way possible.
