All appointments are expected to begin at the time they are scheduled. I allow a grace period of 10 minutes after which your appointment will be cancelled, and you will need to reschedule.
Due to FERPA restrictions, parents cannot participate in advising appointments unless they have written permission from the student. An email sent to erinb@smu.edu will suffice for the initial advising appointment. After the initial appointment, students need to provide consent for access to their records by using the Release of Education Records feature from the Student Dashboard in My.SMU. For more details about FERPA, please see smu.edu/legaldisclosures/ferpa/releases.
